Grade 6 Literacy

Ozlem Coskun

Dear Parents and Students,

We have come to the end of another term break. Term 2 was very busy in the Literacy classroom. Students have finalised all their writing and reading assessments. I would like to congratulate students who have been up to date with all Reading Eggs Tasks.

A friendly reminder that we will have Reading Eggs Tasks for holiday homework.

This term Grade 6 team took part in many reading activities. Especially during the Reading Month of May. We made purchases from our Scholastic book fair and introduced new reading materials to our own classroom library. Students were able to work with their Foundation buddies and completed a range of engaging reading activities.

I wish all my students a happy Ramadan and hope they have a restful and fun holiday break. Looking forward to seeing you all in Term 3.

Grade 5/6 Numeracy

Nesrin Gocmen

Dear parents and guardians;

We have come to an end of another term/semester. Students have been working hard throughout the term. A friendly reminder to all my 5/6 maths students that Mathletics homework is due every Monday and you have the whole week to complete your tasks. Also you have 1 unit from your Maths mentals Homework book to complete and this is due every Thursday.

The grade 6 students competed in the Annual Intercampus Numeracy competition. The students that competed were:

Kaylan Bilal 6B, Jafaar Al-Jaber 6A and Seham Abulaziz 6A.

I am very proud to say that once again we came first out of the 4 campuses. This is our 4th year in a row with first price. I would like to congratulate my students and well done for their great effort. You all made us very proud.

Wishing you all a very happy Ramadan.

Kind Regards
Ms Nesrin Gocmen
